Alternative Force I

(AZ. P.O.S.T. Approved) Reality Defense Training Alternative Force is an intensive sixteen (16) hour training program in officer survival and alternative methods of suspect control. Compliance techniques are designed to overwhelm the restrained suspect, catching them with an explosive surge of Non-lethal force.

This program begins with a use of force demonstration and transitions directly into instruction in Alternative Force Delivery Techniques. Topics include the myths of martial arts, Balance / Force equation and methods of officer defense and survival. Training culminates with Scenario Work against aggressive unarmed suspects and sudden death weapon encounters.

Unarmed Weapons Defense for Law Enforcement Officers

(AZ. P.O.S.T. Approved) Reality Defense Training Unarmed Weapons Defense for Law Enforcement Officers is a sixteen (16) hour training program in officer survival against weapons attack. Techniques are designed to give the Law Enforcement Officer real weapons defense skills, teaching them to gain control of a weapon with the use of non-lethal force.

Specific defenses for a blade weapons, a clubbing weapons, a flexible weapons, as well as firearms will be applied. The focus is to teach the officer to stay alive first, before attempting to bring their firearm to bare if necessary. Training culminates with Scenario Work against an aggressive armed suspect and sudden death weapon encounters.

L.E. Ground Fighting and Grappling Defense

(AZ. P.O.S.T. Approved)  L.E. Ground Fighting and Grappling Defense program is an eight (8) hour training program designed to trained the officer to survive a body to body (grappling) situation.  With all the equipment the modern law enforcement officer carries on their person any physical contact with a suspect instantly creates a life threatening situation.  This program is not a suspect control module it is an officer survival module.  Demonstrating the eminent dangers is obvious.  The response must be swift and brutal.  The three scenarios in ground fighting are, Suspect up and officer on ground, officer up and suspect on the ground, and lastly both on the ground.
