The Basic Blade Combat program is an 8-session introduction to the use of a knife, in a knife against knife environment. Knife selection, griping, stance and blade familiarity are stressed in the first phases of this program. Developing accuracy and vital targeting are drilled heavily. The student is taught how to counter cut and counter attack with precision and accuracy while controlling the attacker\u2019s knife limb. Legal issues are also discussed as to when a knife can and cannot be used. Lastly, concealed carry options and stealthy blade access are taught. This program is ideal for anyone that has an interest in developing a better understanding and comfort with the carrying and use of a knife in a self defense situation where a knife is involved.
